11 Anti-Doping Rules
Breaking any of these rules constitutes an Anti-Doping Rule Violation
Anti-Doping Rules
It is important for all athletes to remember these rules to avoid unintentionally committing a rule violation.
A: Administration
Administration or Attempted Administration
Athletes cannot provide, supply, supervise, facilitate or otherwise becoming involved in the use of attempted use of any prohibited substance or method. (Code 2.8)
B: Banned Substances
Banned Substances cannot be present in athlete samples
Banned substances, its metabolites or markers cannot be present in an athlete’s sample. (Code 2.1)
C: Complicity
Complicity or Attempted Complicity
Athletes cannot assist, encourage, aid, conspire or covere up any rules violation. (Code 2.9)
D: Doping Control Evasion
Doping Control Evasion
Athletes cannot evade, refuse or fail to submit to sample collection. (Code 2.3)
E: Evidence Tampering
Evidence Tampering
Athletes shall not conduct any intentional interference or intervention with any aspect of doping control. (Code 2.5)
F: Filing Failures
Filing Failures
A combination of 3 “Filing failures” and/or “Missed Tests” within a 12-month period by an RTP athlete would constitute a “Whereabout Failure”. (Code 2.4). For more information, visit the ADS whereabouts information page.
G: Guilt of Use
Guilt of Use
Athletes cannot use or attempt to use a prohibited substance or method (Code 2.2)
H: Having Prohibited Substances
Having Prohibited Substances on You
Athletes cannot have prohibited substances on them without an acceptable justification, such as the use for medical treatment with granted TUE. (Code 2.6)

I: Importing and Selling
Importing and Selling (Trafficking)
Athletes shall not import, sell, trafficking or attempt to traffick any prohibited substance or prohibited method. (Code 2.7)
J: Joining Sanctioned Individuals
Joining the company of Sanctioned Individuals
Athletes cannot be receiving, seeking training support or allow a sanctioned person to be their agent, coach, doctor, or trainer. (Code 2.10)
K: Keeping Whistleblowers Quiet
Keeping Whistleblowers Quiet
Athletes shall not partake in any act that discourages, prevents, or threatens a person against reporting doping information. (Code 2.11)
